Bob Dylan Sold out!
Jun
The Alhambra has always had a special influence on its visitors. Everyone from ordinary folk to the biggest artists. This Nasrid monument has therefore been glossed, sung or painted by different creators over the centuries, without losing any of its characteristic fascination and charm. It has always been closely linked to music. Its walls have heard the great prodigies of classical music, opera and flamenco, among other genres. Only on very few, exceptional occasions has the monument opened its doors to other, more contemporary genres.
The 1001 Músicas – CaixaBank series is centred upon continuity, growth and development. It aims to meet the demands of all artists and audiences, eager to share music and applause against a unique backdrop.
The power of the Alhambra, the influence of Granada on Spain’s musical history, the image of a city of both tradition and avant-garde, a city that strives for everything in this turbulent 21st century environment, will soon give the gift of 1001 Músicas – CaixaBank to millions of eyes and ears around the world.
Rough and rowdy ways
The world tour began on 2nd November 2021 in Milwaukee (Wisconsin) and will last until 2024. But before that, in June, Bob Dylan will return to Granada with a setlist focused on his thirty-ninth studio album “Rough and Rowdy Ways”.
IMPORTANT
This concert is a “PHONE FREE SHOW”, this means that phones are not allowed in the hall during the concert.
How does it work?
Once you arrive at the venue, Yondr (the phone case company contracted for this concert) will provide you with their specialised staff to help you store your phone in a closed and secure case, which you will carry with you throughout the evening.
What should I do if I have an emergency and need access to my phone?
You can unlock your phone pocket at any time by going to a specific, marked area designated for phone use. Do not hesitate to ask a Yondr staff member for help.
Why do we do this and is it mandatory?
Having created this phone-free experience on recent tours, we believe it creates better moments for all attendees. Our eyes open a little wider and our senses sharpen slightly as we lose the technological crutch we’ve grown accustomed to. And yes, it’s a non-negotiable deal (although medical exemptions are made for those who rely on their phone for treatment).
Sold out!
Elvis Costello, british musician and singer-songwriter who became known in 1977 with the explosion of the british punk scene. But there was more in his music than rage and denunciation.
At the age of 68, he enjoys his status as a living and active legend, giving fabulous concerts all over the world and keeping his curiosity for all musical languages alive. As evidenced by the fact that he recently released a remake of his third album with spanish-speaking singers such as Juanes, Morat, Jorge Drexler, Cami Gallardo and Sebastián Yatra.
Ara Malikian, spanish violinist of lebanese origin and armenian descent, presents this tour as an encounter with the child he could not be and would have dreamed of being.
´This tour is the result of watching my son grow up, it is the result of my growth at his side, it is all those sounds and melodies that try to give shape to what I have felt and been inspired by him and by life through him. It’s a tribute to those beings that are as free as a free bird.’
Luz Casal returns with her first unreleased album in five years, the most autobiographical of her career. Her voice once again wanders between the cadence of bolero and the fury of rock and roll, flirting with the most classic sounds and exploring new nuances.
As a preview of this long-awaited work, she has just released ‘Hola, qué tal’, inspired by the conversations she had during the pandemic with thousands of strangers whom she phoned when they asked her to offer comfort or company. It is a song full of hope, an outstretched hand in the midst of a difficult time that the artist, always close to reality, has not wanted to turn her back on.
Andrés Calamaro, one of the greatest voices of spanish song in recent decades. We are talking about the most argentinian apaniard and the most spaniard argentinian, the rock musician, the fan of tango, bolero or corrido. All music with latin american roots is part of Calamaro’s heritage and career.
He is currently presenting his album “Dios los cría” on stages all over the world, for which he was once again nominated for the Latin Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album and Record of the Year for the song “Bohemio” with Julio Iglesias, and won the Latin Grammy for Best Song with the song “Hong Kong” with C. Tangana.
What can we say about 091 at this point? What can we highlight about Granada’s most legendary band? 40 years of life already completed, interrupted for two decades and resurrected in 2016.
Since then, 091 have released a new album “La otra vida” and have continued to polish the classics composed by the great José Ignacio Lapido. Songs like “La Torre de la Vela”, “La vida qué mala es” or “La calle del Viento” will sound like never before in the Alhambra, with the city where they were born at their feet and on the night when the moon rose late…
Pablo López sings and composes as he lives and lives as he is. Without pretending anything, transmitting with each word, with each verse, that point of madness and freedom, of honesty with himself and with the music, which is the world, his world…
The artist is about to release a new album “Quasy” which he will present in 2023 and has also created and composed all the songs for Raphael’s new album “Victoria”.
Born in London in 1989 to singer Brett Anderson and guitarist Bernad Butler, they soon caught the attention of the media, attracted by the magnetism of the singer, the closest thing to a twenty-something David Bowie that had been seen on the british pop scene at the time.
Since their resurrection in the middle of the last decade, Suede have released albums with regularity until this latest release Autofiction which they will present in a night of hits, glamour and huge songs by a band of classic british make-up. Bowie, the Kinks and the Smiths are proud of them.
If there is an artist in Spain who needs no more introduction than his name, it is Raphael.
He has been on stage anywhere in the world for 60 years. A multi-awarded artist, Grammys and awards of all kinds are piling up in his showcases. Holder of the Uranium Disc for his career of 75 official recordings, plus compilations and collaborations for more than 50 million records sold worldwide and in several languages.
He has just released a new album Victoria with songs created for him by Pablo López. The doors of the Alhambra will open this year to welcome the greatest myth of the spanish popular song and we will enjoy our great night…
